Crazy Eyes Contact Lenses
|
A short while ago it used to be only the special effects department of film
companies that had access to the really cool range of lenses referred to
as the Crazy
Eyes Contact Lens collection. Think for example of Michael Jackson’s
eyes at the end of his "Thriller" video. There are many
other examples.
Now, thanks to recent advances in contact lens technology, crazy contact
lenses are available to everyone, even those who don’t need them to
improve their vision. One of the most popular special effects lenses is Crazy
Eyes Contact
Lenses from CooperVision. These Crazy Eyes lenses come in a whole range of
options. Here is a sampling available to you from the Crazy Eyes collection:
- White - a shiny white iris interrupted only by your jet-black pupil
in the middle
- Blood Red - a fiendishly demonic red iris
- Wolf Red or Black - with a bright yellow splash on a black or red background
- Red or Black Spiral - putting your friends into a trance with these
hypnotic type eyes featuring an expanding red or black spiral
- Devil - a long black slashed pupil against a field of red and yellow
- Cateye Yellow- featuring a cat-like long pupil on a spookie yellow background
- Fire - with leaping yellow flames surrounded by a blood-red perimeter
- Dollar Green - have great fun at the bank with these, featuring floating
dollar signs on a background of bright green
- Reptile Green - featuring a long pupil on a background of jungle
green. The name says it all!
But always remember, whilst special effects contact lenses
are cool to wear and fun, like normal prescription
lenses, Crazy
Eyes Contact
Lenses
are still
medical
devices and are considered as such by the FDA.
And like all contact lenses, Crazy Eyes lenses can cause
eye infections if not fitted correctly or cared for properly.
That
means you must
see professional
optician to have them prescribed and fitted. And this
is the case whether you need vision correction or not.
Crazy Eyes Contact Lenses also need to be cleaned and
disinfected just like other contact lenses. And it
goes without saying
that, as with
all lenses,
you must
never share or swap costume contact lenses, including
Crazy Eyes Lenses, with anybody. Failing to heed this
warning
could potentially
lead to
serious eye
infection, even blindness.
Special effect contact lenses such as Crazy Eyes are as safe as any other
contact lens so long as you follow the rules. Clean your lenses regularly as
directed by your optician, and find out and rigidly adhere to the proper care
regime for your special effect lenses.
Finally, never buy special effect lenses, including Crazy Eye Contact Lenses,
at any store that doesn't insist on a valid prescription from an eye care practitioner.
Remember that wearing contact lenses that don't fit your eyes properly is dangerous
and can cause serious vision problems, damage to your eyes and infections.
So treat your Crazy Eyes Lenses with the care and respect you would any other
prescription contact lens.
