Focus Night & Day Contact Lenses

Focus NIGHT & DAY contact lenses from CIBA Vision are soft contact lenses made of lotrafilcon A, a special new fluoro-silicone hydrogel material that contains around 24 percent water. This lens material permits a high level of oxygen to reach the eyes (in fact six times higher than ordinary disposable lenses) and which has been surface treated to enable wetting from your tears. This special surface treatment also helps minimize protein and oil buildup over time.

NIGHT & DAY contact lenses are approved for extended wear for up to thirty nights of continuous wear, and the lenses are the first contact lenses of their kind with this wearing capability.

NIGHT & DAY is one of the most convenient lenses on the market today because it can be worn safely for up to 30 continuous nights and days eliminating the tedious, daily hassles of inserting, removing and cleaning lenses. NIGHT & DAY lenses provide clear and comfortable vision correction around the clock for up to a month.

Contact lenses for wear while sleeping

Studies have shown that the majority of contact lens wearers consistently tell their eye care practitioners that they want safe, convenient, around-the-clock vision, and particularly lenses which are safe to wear while sleeping. NIGHT & DAY is the most convenient lens because it eliminates the tedious daily hassles of inserting, removing and cleaning lenses. And of paramount importance, you can go to sleep wearing them without risk of damahging the eyes.

These lenses are likely to become ever more popular over time since this breakthrough product delivers what many individuals want – the ability to have comfortable and clear vision around the clock in a convenient way that easily fits with their busy and unpredictable lifestyles.

NIGHT & DAY contact lenses are also a good alternative to laser vision surgery for the many individuals who are not good candidates for the procedure or who are averse to it due to high costs, invasiveness, non-reversibility and potential complications.

NIGHT & DAY Availability

NIGHT & DAY lenses are available in an 8.6mm and 8.4mm base curve with a 13.8mm diameter. The lens power range covers +0.25D to +6.00D in 0.25D increments, -0.25D to -8.00D in 0.25D increments and -8.50D to -10.00D in 0.50D increments.

Can you wear NIGHT & DAY contact lenses?

NIGHT & DAY soft contact lenses can be prescribed for the optical correction of refractive ametropia (myopia and hyperopia) in phakic or aphakic persons with non-diseased eyes with up to approximately 1.50 diopters of astigmatism.

The lenses may be prescribed for daily wear or for extended wear for up to 30 nights of continuous wear, with removal for disposal, or cleaning and disinfection prior to reinsertion, as recommended by your optician.

Do NIGHT & DAY contact lenses require cleaning or disinfecting?

NIGHT & DAY lenses do not require daily cleaning or disinfecting when worn continuously for up to a month. However, lenses removed between replacement times must be cleaned and disinfected with a chemical, not heat, disinfection system before reinsertion. People should carefully follow the wear and replacement recommendations of their eye care practitioner.
